SPIRIT OF THE AWARD – CORNWALL HERITAGE AWARDS 2024
We were delighted to sponsor the Spirit of the Awards category at the recent Cornwall Heritage Awards 2024 at Kresen Kernow.
Representatives of the World Heritage Site team chose organisations they felt most demonstrated an outstanding commitment to our core values of environmental sustainability and inclusion. Our decisions were aided by two expert judges: Kathy Moore - Director of the Climate Museum UK (Environmental Sustainability) and Sophie Meyer - Engagement Manager at Cornwall Heritage Trust and Director of Queer Kernow (Inclusion).
The award is split into two subcategories, one for larger organisations and one for smaller organisations.
The winner of the award for large organisations was Archives and Cornish Studies Service at Kresen Kernow with commendations awarded to Wheal Martyn and Penlee House Gallery & Museum.
The winner of the award for smaller organisations was Mevagissey Museum with commendations awarded to Saltash Heritage and St Ives Museum.
Congratulations to all of the winners!
…and a big thank you to everyone who organised and participated in the Cornwall Heritage Awards 2024.
